Memo to Hicks and Gillet

There is a rumour that Hicks and Gillett both like to ask their PR agencies to trawl the internet in order to gauge the fan' views on them. If that's true, then it must be quite some job typing up that particular report and trying to erase all the swear-words that usually accompany any mention of the two owners.
Yet, if that is true and reading this there is one of those PR guys, then here's a message that you should pass on to your masters about what they should do as soon as possible:
1. Get a blank sheet of paper,
2. Sign it at the bottom,
3. Send it to Rafa Benitez,
4. Tell him to write his own contract for the next four years.
You've made it quite clear that you don't understand enough about football. We do and let us tell you that you don't find managers of his ability too easily. This team that he is building is the best we've had in two decades and not allowing him to carry on with the job or giving him the conditions to do it to the best of his abilities would be plain stupid.

Well said. It's probably been said before, but someone should get a petition going. I'm sure it would get at least a 100k fans on it.

Could not agree with you more! I just wish some of our grumbling fans would learn to appreciate what we've got. Rafa is not given enough credit for the job he has done considering the limits within which he has to work in comparison to the biggest 6 or 7 clubs in the EPL. His budget is similar to Spurs' or Newcastle's or Aston Villa. Yet he doesn't get the same control as O'Neill or Harry. If we sack a manager despite challenging in the EPL and being the top ranked in Europe, then we will never build a dynasty again. We will be no different to Newcastle.
I say give him more time and a free hand. Then sit back and trust him to do his job even if there are a few setbacks along the way. Only then can we judge him. By then we would not only have number 19 but we would be able to repeat it over and over again with 20, 21, 22.............

I second, third, fourth etc on that. All so called liverpool fans that have doubted the Great man Rafa this season please see the light from now on, as you are all forgiven. The press dislike us and the pundits contradict themselves (according to Andy Gray after Man U scored Rafa was a bad manager that should have played 4-4-2, lord how he changed his tune after goals 1,2,3 & 4). Just imagine where we would be if he was given a decent transfer kitty instead of having to balance the books!!!

Even through the period where fans were calling for his head, i had faith in Rafa. And faith is the most important thing for Liverpool fans....

That's easy to say (well not for you actually; his name is benitez). Any supporter must have hope that their team can win. Benitez is a class act - nobody better to lead us to our first title in ages. Which manager pound for pound is better? If somebody with a rash opinion like yours was in charge of Manure in Taggarts first five fears they would never have been as successful as they are today. It took Rafa less games to win 100 games in the prem than slur alex.
